SUGAR

written and directed by DIME DAVIS

SUGAR is the story of Charlie and Mimi, an unconventional mother-daughter pair facing a harsh new reality — Alzheimer’s Disease.

After being away for nearly a year, Charlie returns home to find that the one person she can’t live without has quickly deteriorated into a woman she hardly knows.  Upon her return, Charlie is immediately greeted with a literal slap in the face — one that confirms her greatest fear.  Mimi’s memory of her is fading fast.  Through stirring memories and a collection of vinyl records, Charlie struggles to hold on to the Mimi she once knew.

At it’s core, SUGAR is simply a story of love between a mother and daughter — a heartbreaking and inspiring tale about accepting the inevitable.
